It doesn't happen so often, that Team Belarus plays against such serious opponents in the February international break.
This time the coaching staff of the team was more than happy to face world's 7th and 8th squads - Switzerland and Slovakia.
Though Belarusian lost in both friendlies, Eduard Zankovets, who is in charge of the team in the absence of its head coach Glen Hanlon, says that the main goals of this training camp have been achieved.
- Of course it would be great to win. But our opponents were both very good, organized and disciplined teams, and we had a roster of young players who we had to watch in such tough and challenging games as these. We still have a lot of work in front of us. But as I watched our newcomers, I realized some of them will be in the preliminary roster for the Worlds.
